Fans of the Hawkeyes who are not members of the National I-Club and fans of the visiting team have a variety of priority parking options that require payment in advance or on game-day, and free parking opportunities on the west and east edges of the University of Iowa campus. Game day parking fees for 2013 will be $20. per car, $50. per recreational vehicle and $100. for over the road buses. Fans of the Hawkeyes -- and many fans of the visiting team -- also elect to park in nearby Coralville and ride the Hawkeye Express - the "Train to the Game" - before and after each home game of the Hawkeyes. You may park free and ride the train for $12.00 per person over the age of 12. Children 12 and under ride free. Fans that present a game-day reserved parking pass will receive two free train tickets. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the University of Iowa Athletics Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena or on game-day at the Hawkeye Express depot. The UI uses the following definitions for vehicles: A car is any car, pick-up truck, or SUV. A recreational vehicle is any vehicle that includes a rest room. No travel trailer, "5th wheels" or pull-behind trailers are allowed in any UI parking lot except the Hancher Auditorium Lot, the Hall of Fame Lot, and the Hawkeye Commuter lot. |
